End of Semester

Verrrrry long time since last post. Been so busy organising various things and finishing work for uni I've barely had time to think. I created a pair of curtains for my finished piece, got pretty mixed feedback from my tutors, but I felt like I worked hard on it and I was pretty happy with how is looked. There were three layers to the curtains, the top was hand cut pattern to allow you to see through to the second layer which I had sewn the silk etching prints I'd made and finally underneath that some embroidered words from a poem.

Forgotten end of summer.

Also when I got the photos of Venice developed it was lovely to discover some lazy end of summer shots that I had taken with my friend Sophie and a few from a wee trip to Ullapool to visit a friend from my course.

Venice Biannale

Little trip during reading week to the beautiful city of Venice! Here are a mix of snaps from the Biannale and general tourist shots. I'm so happy with the photos because it's the first time I've used the K1000 pentax camera which used to be my dads. Thanks to big eck for this lovely gift I can tell I'll be using it much more from now on!

FINALLY

had an idea for summer project. Going to make something good from a shite situation. Loosely based around the idea of a family album most likely including some of these top quality photos I came across at my grans

Summer Reading.

Trying to keep my mind active over summer should not feel this much of a slog, brain wants to learn, body wants to sunbathe, the rest of me wants to be a lazy bitch.
